Barb is our TImor Lestechampion and manager. Malnutritian is widespead and we run an orphanage nutrition support programcovering 140 children by establishing a garden for self suffiency and improved dietary needs.
The Morogoro, Tanzania community based health improvement project is providing repairs to their paediatrics ward, child andmaternal education and health professional support.Our champion Eleni identified and manages the program.
Youth mental health is a huge local issue with 15% of youthself-reporting with some form of mental health condition.A new partnership with local secondary and high schoolsidentifies a range of suppportprograms. Pam leads our team of dedicated event organisers.
MHERV - ‘Men’s Health Education Rural Van’ is a Rotary project.consisting a purpose-built caravan with two consulting rooms which tours 56 centres in NSW annuallly. It has a full time Registered Nurse, who with the assistance of local community clubs, conduct health tests among rural men. Mherv checks blood pressure to ensure that the heart is not too stressed, blood sugar levels to test potential for diabetes and cholesterol to ensure that plaque levels are safe.
Funds raised supporting a number of specific, preventative, mental health programs within Morisset High and feeder schools, including new equipment for the gym, training for students to participate in the City to Surf, A Teen Mental Health First Aid support program and transport costs for primary school and support program (Didge) to build cultural connecctions.
Morisset Square Christmas Trailer Raffle Morisset Rotary Club helps physically and financially with community projects and fundraising for organizations such as PCYC, South Lakes Carers, Australian Rotary Health and Shelterbox. We assist in the support and integration of our refugee community and help develop the leadership qualities of youth via Morisset High School programs, school awards, scholarships and initiatives such as the Science and Engineering Challenge. The Christmas trailer raffle is on of those fundraising mechanism helping the whole community.

Members are encouraged to support new and existing projects in a number of ways.Opportunities arise to hone your skills in a diverse number of tasks including project and event management, resource planning, sales and marketing as well as many other hands on roles in near or far places. We encourage experts and novices aliketo participate, learn and grow in the presence of our mentors and facilitators.
