Youth mental health is a huge local issue with 15% of youths self-reporting with some form of mental health condition. Our partnership with local secondary and high schools has proven successful to identify a range of support programs our community's needs. Morisset Rotary Club helps physically and financially with community projects and fundraising for organizations such as PCYC, South Lakes Carers, Australian Rotary Health and Shelterbox. We assist in the support and integration of our refugee community and help develop the leadership qualities of youth via Morisset High School programs, school awards, scholarships and initiatives. Malnutrition is widespread in Timor Leste and the Rotary Club of Morisset run an orphanage nutrition support program covering 140 children by establishing a garden for self sufficiency and improved dietary needs.
